The Moose is the largest of the deer family. When it is in rutting which is in September and October Male Bulls are seen fighting each other for the cow. As a human you do not want to be near this aggressive time. Another time to stay clearly away from Moose is when the Cow is with her offspring. If she thinks you are a threat, get the heck away especially if she begins to charge. It could be a bluff, but you never know back out fast and behind a tree or in your car. Even if they are not in an aggressive period, the rule should be keeping your distance.
